Lip Sync Success

George Fox University (GFU) students tore down the doors at 8:00 p.m. on November 2 to watch the annual Lip Sync Battle after waiting in line for an hour to fight for the best seats in Bauman Auditorium. Students put together their performances in a few short weeks for a chance to win $500. This year, four impressive acts killed it on stage: The Clock Boys, The Robin Quakers, The Recess and the Pieces and the GFU Women’s Soccer Team.

Doubters Are Given Space For Discussion

The first Doubters’ Town Hall was held in Hoover 105 on Oct 14. Dr. Isaac Choi and Dr. Ross McCullough presented four arguments for the existence of God, followed by an interactive question and answer session. Students brought doubts and ideas, and they walked away with more questions and new ideas.

In a recent study at George Fox University (GFU), 19 percent of students reported experiencing hardships in having enough to eat. 13 percent said they did not have access to an adequate amount of food due to lack of resources, and 64 percent reported having a friend that did not have access to an adequate amount of food.
