Binge Worthy
Reported by Lauren Hall
Hello all you cool cats and kittens! I am here to tell you about some of my favorite shows to binge on Netflix during quarantine. If you are in the mood for something that has mystery, animals, and life in a zoo - look no further than “Tiger King.” This show will have you guessing at every turn and rooting for Joe Exotic. You follow his story and what life looks like owning a zoo with a plethora of tigers. If you're looking for rivalry, out-of-the-box experiences and a show you will never forget, the king is waiting. This show was a hot hit when it first came to Netflix and holds the number one spot in the U.S. since its release.
If you are looking for a new show to binge in a few days or less look no further than the “OuterBanks in the Carolinas”. This show will have you on your feet in each of its episodes. In this show you meet a group of four close friends who live on the poor side of the OuterBanks. The Outerbanks is split into two parts, rich and poor, or what they call the Pouges and Kooks. This show is set in the summer and shows you the real parts of teen life most young adult content seems to hide from. Would you want $400,000 dollars in gold? What about solving a missing persons case? Well, John B, J.J. , Ki, and Pope are on the hunt. If you want a thrilling treasure hunt with hints of love and life in paradise - check out “OuterBanks.”
From crazy cats to a treasure hunt to ice skating in Idaho you are in for a real treat. If drama, sports, and the pursuit of a comeback seem up your alley, the show “Spinning Out” is for you. This show follows Kat, a skater who had an accident at one of the biggest competitions of her skating season a few years back. As you follow her story, you come to discover what family means and how training can take over your life. This show is not for the light hearted and can be a little hard to handle, but the soul and truth it delivers are worth the watch.
From the freezing cold rink to a man who is told he has to run the whole country, “Designated Survivor” should be your next watch. This show is based on a real principle put into place by the U.S government during each State of the Union address. We have one cabinet member selected at random who sits out of the address just in case all of our government ends up in shackles. Well, Tom Kirkman knows this all too well on the night of the address. The capitol is bombed and every single member is gone. What happens next, you ask? Well, Tom has to run the country but the catch - he was 45th in succession to the presidency. In this story you follow Tom and his family as they navigate life in the White House and come back from a national tragedy.
These shows cover all walks of life and what it means to explore the world we live in today. When a show is deemed binge worthy it is a big deal and these are at the top of my list. So if traveling from Tiger zoos to the Outerbanks seems like your style, sit back and relax because you’ve got some binging to do.
