Covid-19: Bat or Biolab?

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, numerous books and “prophecies” have been brought to light about the coronavirus, including excerpts from Sylvia Brown’s book, “End Of Days: Predictions And Prophecies About The End Of The World” and “The Eyes of Darkness”.
Sylvia Brown, a well-known psychic in the early 2000s, wrote “End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies,” which encompasses her “premonitions” about the end of the world. In one prediction, she writes, “In around 2020, a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments.” Does this sound familiar?
In the horror novel titled, “The Eyes of Darkness,” Dean Koontz seemingly predicted the outbreak of the coronavirus in 1981. Though his novel is fictitious, the elements of Covid-19 and “Wuhan-400” -- the virus in the book -- have striking similarities.
To start, the virus in the novel was created in Wuhan. The virus also can’t live outside of the body for long periods of time or “permanently contaminate objects or entire places.” Wuhan-400 was described as being heat sensitive, just like the coronavirus.
These disturbingly accurate predictions of Covid-19 leave readers with many questions.
Were these writers really given some sort of divine hint of the future? Or, more likely, was someone inspired by these writings to create what we now know as Covid-19?
In regards to the virus, there are three possible scenarios of how Covid-19 originated: The virus mutated from animals to humans as originally reported; The virus was unintentionally released from biolabs where scientists were studying animal viruses; The virus was intentionally released in order to create a worldwide crisis.
This article will be analyzing the third possibility.
As with every criminal investigation, two questions arise. Who had motive and what do they stand to gain? In this case, the culprit seems to be the Chinese government.
This is a lofty claim, but with recent events, we know how unpredictable life can be. Although the coronavirus was most likely not a weapon for world domination, it’s an interesting notion to consider. And with China’s history of unusual actions and seemingly superficial claims toward Covid-19, it wouldn’t be so hard to imagine their desire to cover up this scandal. In fact, it kind of makes sense.
On April 14, the Army General Mark Milley explained that the US intelligence and national security officials are investigating the possibility that the virus originated in a Chinese laboratory, instead of in the Huanan Seafood Market, in Wuhan, as originally reported.
The C.I.A. and Great Britain are also currently investigating China for falsifying their coronavirus reports. Trump claims that the recent numbers were “a little bit on the light side” and on April 7, China claimed to have no new coronavirus related deaths for the first time since they started publishing daily figures in January.
In addition to these apparent abnormalities, Chinese doctors have reported that officials silenced their warnings of the virus in December.
Dr. Li Wenliang attempted to warn the Chinese government about a potential outbreak of a new disease in late December. All of his attempts were silenced, even by a visit from the police. Eventually, the 34-year-old doctor contracted the disease and passed away three weeks later due to complications… Or so they say.
Similarly, Dr. Ai Fen, director of Wuhan Central Hospitals emergency department, received a report in late December of an unusual infection that mirrored the pneumonia-like disease, SARS. After reporting this to hospital authorities, Ai was censured for “spreading rumors” and the next day the Wuhan health commission forbade frontline medical workers from saying anything about the mysterious virus.
The list of irregularities continues and leaves the public wondering what really is going on...
The world was changed in the blink on an eye, and our lives were changed along with it. Regardless of whether the inception of the virus was intentional or not, we can be assured that our God can make something that was originally intended for evil and shift it to work in His benefit.
At times, the coronavirus may seem too big to conquer, but we can be comforted knowing that our God is bigger than this virus. Let Covid-19 be a reminder that life is precious, fleeting, and unpredictable, so make the most of now and enjoy each moment while you can.
